History Founded in 1885. Incorporated in 1957. Was 70%-owned by Alain Golaz in the 1990s when employee embezzlement caused losses to client accounts and virtually wiped out the bank's capital. Minority partner Lyonnaise de Banque acquired the bank in 1996 after agreeing to recapitalize it. Golaz claimed the takeover terms were unfair and an arbitrator ordered Lyonnaise de Banque to compensate him in 2003. Acquired the private banking division of Swissfirst AG in 2006.
