1. There are no official
figures for assets under management
in Switzerland. We add securities in
custody and fiduciary deposits to
arrive at a useful total.
2. Our figures exclude domestic bank deposits and
assets managed outside Switzerland. If they are added, the total
amounted to Sfr6.9 trillion at the end of 2005, according to the
Swiss Bankers Association, with Sfr4.9 trillion managed in
Switzerland, Sfr0.6 trillion of domestic time and savings deposits
and Sfr1.4 trillion at Swiss banks abroad. The comparable figure at
the end of 2006 would have been Sfr7.5 trillion ($6.1 trillion),
assuming no change in domestic deposits and assets abroad.
3. The figures are
rounded, year-end totals in billion
Swiss francs, unless indicated
otherwise.
